How Aigen CBAM helps you meet CBAM requirements

What you can actually do with Aigen CBAM when preparing the annual declaration — from seeing what is missing to the import register, emissions, supplier data, declaration preparation and multi-company traceability — and what stays outside the tool.

CBAM reporting needs import, product, supplier and emissions data that rarely sits in one system. Aigen CBAM is built for annual declaration preparation: bringing that data into one place, showing what is still missing and turning preparation into a repeatable process. Here is what you can do with it, who it suits, and what deliberately stays outside the tool.

What you can do with Aigen CBAM

01 — See what is missing

A checklist shows which information is still missing for your imports, so gaps appear early instead of at the deadline. An AI assistant helps with using the platform, with CBAM questions, with filling in forms and with handling imports. The user interface and the CN code search work in Finnish and English.

02 — Import register and data import

The import register stores CN codes, net masses, countries of origin, import dates and customs references per consignment. Import your data from a CSV or Excel file and map the columns to the right fields; the AI assistant helps clean up the data.

03 — Emissions, threshold and certificates

Calculate emissions and the certificate need using actual emissions data or default values. The calculation accounts for the phase-out of free allocation. The tool tracks the 50-tonne annual threshold for the goods it applies to, and lets you compare the CBAM certificates you hold with the forecast need.

04 — Emissions data straight from suppliers

Send a supplier an invitation link to provide emissions data — the supplier does not need a user account. You review and approve the submitted data yourself and attach it to the right consignment.

05 — Prepare the annual declaration

Prepare the annual declaration data and export it as XML or ZIP for submission to the EU CBAM registry. The tool prepares the data; you submit the declaration yourself.

06 — Traceability and multiple companies

The change history shows who changed what, and documents can be attached to consignments. One user account can manage several companies — for example an accounting firm's clients.

Who is it for?

Aigen CBAM suits importers that need a practical way to manage reporting data, responsibilities and gaps before the deadlines.

  • Import and procurement — keep track of the information needed from suppliers and spot gaps early.
  • Finance and compliance — get the data needed for reporting as a structured whole.
  • Management — see preparation status and reporting-related risks.

Why CBAM breaks down in practice

Reporting requires import, product, supplier and emissions data that usually do not live in the same system. Without a clear process, every reporting period starts with searching for information and checking it by hand.

How Aigen CBAM helps

  • Brings supplier- and product-level data together in one place.
  • Tracks missing emissions data and open tasks.
  • Builds reporting into a repeatable process.
  • Reduces last-minute manual compilation.

What stays outside the tool

  • You submit the prepared declaration data to the EU CBAM registry yourself.
  • Certificates cannot be purchased through the platform.
